Senior Class Gift Committee Chair
King’s College Seniors to Donate Funds
to Support Higher Education
Tuition rates at American colleges and universities
only cover two-thirds of the cost to educate a student. “Alumni
donations and gifts of kind often make up the difference,”
says Kim Cardone, Senior Class Coordinator.
The King’s College Senior Class participates
in a tradition of giving back by pledging an amount of money before
graduation payable over five years. The donation will be used to
benefit the college, and its direct use is voted upon by the class
at their five year reunion.
The Senior Class Gift Program is in the process
of recruiting students for its committee. Twelve Chairs were nominated
by faculty and staff last week. These chairs are recruiting Team
Captains to head a group of students that will inform their fellow
classmates about the program.
The Senior Class Gift Committee will be hosting
a “Wine and Cheese” Kick-off Event on Thursday, January
19th at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd Floor of the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center.
Kim Cardone can be reached in her office at 570.208.5677
or by email at kkcardon@kings.edu.
