Drooling over berries

My future mother-in-law found a complimentary bridal
guide book with an advertisement for kilt rentals, so she brought
it home to show my fiancé – he’s half Scottish.
Kilts aside, I gave it a look, and after flipping through a sea
of reception hall spreads, I was relieved to find an adorable little
piece on wedding gift ideas.
The last section of the article was my kind of
happy ending. Entitled “Sherries Berries,” it was accompanied
by the most tantalizing photograph I have ever seen — two
strawberries hand dipped and decorated in chocolate to resemble
a wedding dress and tuxedo.
I’m pretty sure I may have drooled right
there on the page. Intrigued, I rushed to my computer and located
their web site. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Shari’s
Berries had a variety of wedding items: individually wrapped truffle
boxes, a silver ice bucket accompanied by Louis Roederer Champagne
and a half dozen fancy dipped berries on a silver plated tray.
These little pieces of heaven began as a gift idea.
Founder Shari Fitzpatrick wanted to create the world’s greatest
gourmet dipped strawberries, and in 1989, the first Shari’s
Berries opened its doors in Sacramento, California. In 1999, Shari’s
Berries launched their web site www.berries.com and now ships to
over 200,000 addresses in every state.
These mouthwatering strawberries aren’t reserved
solely for newlyweds. Shari’s Berries caters to several occasions.
They even provide a corporate program rewarding businesses who gift
clients with a generous discount. Some of my favorite products include
yogurt berries, developed specifically for the health conscious,
and a chocolate birthday card that holds three candles.
Shari’s Berries ships nationwide overnight
guaranteed for all occasions. To order, call toll free 1.888.774.7797
or visit their website at www.berries.com.
