The Citizen's Voice
I decided to apply to King’s because it was
far enough from home for freedom, but close enough for comfort.
Now as a senior my memories from the past four years flash before
me like a slideshow: move-in day and orientation, lip sync competitions,
senior socials, dance parties, Homecoming Court, and summer internships.
My education at King’s extended beyond the
classroom. As co-Editor-in-chief of the Scop (campus literary journal),
I gained marketable job skills in collaboration, editing and design,
and as an assistant and coordinator for Freshmen Orientation, I
gained organizational skills and made many new friends.
I couldn’t say enough about the faculty and
students of King’s College, when King’s calls itself
a family, it’s not marketing. It’s a reality. My professors
are more than just teachers, they’re my friends and my mentors.
When I walk across the stage at graduation, I’ll
walk away with more than just a diploma. I’ll walk away with
the love and support of nearly 300 people, including my fiancée,
all of whom I met and who have supported me during my four years
at King’s.
