Finding perfect gifts

I don’t know about you, but Ifeel like everybody
I know was either born or married in May. I’ve made last minute
Internet purchases and trips to the mall every week this month.
And if that weren’t enough to keep me busy, somebody conveniently
decided that Mother’s Day should be celebrated right smack
dab in the middle of the month. Poor Dad-- come Father’s Day,
I’m fresh out of gift ideas.
But I refuse to give an impersonal gift, and thanks
to FindGift.com, I’ll never have to. Bob Zakrzewski, co-founder
and president, launched the site in September 1998 when it became
apparent to him that people had a need to find creative gifts for
people. “The idea is to help people find what they want when
they’re not sure what they want,” explains Zakrzewski.
FindGift.com doesn’t sell any of the gifts
you can find on their site. The site acts as a search engine, and
they are linked up with over 900 partners. “We’re a
Google for gift ideas, if you would,” says Zakrzewski.
The site offers browsers a variety of ways to shop.
You can shop “Gifts by Type,” which includes categories
like “Romantic” or “Wacky.” Or you can shop
“Gifts by Occasion,” which is your typical anniversary
or birthday. The most innovative way to shop is through their “Gift
Wizard,” pictured here, which enables the browser to personalize
the level of their gift search to the finest degree.
The site also provides fun features like “Gifts
in the Spotlight,” “Shopping Days Left” and “Gift
Registry.” Creative or not, with over 29,000 featured gifts,
you’re bound to find something personal.
