Rethinking Hanes

Hanes Her Way hasn’t gotten their Hanes on
me since the sixth grade. Twelve years of fashion no-no’s
forced me to relieve my mother of her clothes shopping privileges
and make some wardrobe changes. One change in particular led to
the removal of all Hanes products from my underwear drawer to their
new home in the trash.
That void was quickly filled with a new assortment
in all shapes and sizes: pink, shiny, sexy, frilly thongs, bikinis
and hipsters from anywhere but the Hanes Her Way collection. Yes,
comfort and cash were forfeited, but that’s the price I was
willing to pay for fashion.
I’ve just turned 21 this past May, so it’s
been nine years since that life altering decision, and unfortunately,
just two weeks ago, I found myself in yet another panty predicament.
Frustrated, I paced up and down every underwear aisle in the mall,
only to be disappointed by uncomfortable, tacky and cheap little
numbers.
Little did I know that my answer would lie with
a neglected old friend by the name of Hanes. No longer deserving
of the “granny panty” title, the new Hanes Accents’
line is comfortable, inexpensive, fun and most importantly, sexy.
Available in sizes 6-8, the line offers a variety of styles: bikini,
string bikini, thong, hipster and boy short. Hanes Accents can be
purchased in stores only and are available at Wal-Mart, K-Mart and
Target.
